September 19th update
Trout are slowly ascending from their summer depths and the good old wobbler and worm is still doing the trick. As water temps drop in the coming weeks they will start to prefer bright colored minnow imitators. Trolling is the ticket!
The smallmouth bite is getting better every day as the days get shorter and the water cools. They are strapping on the feed bag getting ready for the coming winter. and the pike are favoring big soft plastics as of late. Some of the best fishing of the year is just getting started.
